Weekend at Hesket

What happened when my eyes took in my surroundings? I felt privileged to be able to witness such splendour, such awesome beauty, such innocence. My heart swelled with pride and gratitude. I realised that it is in these moments that life becomes truly worth living. Nature is free. Generous. It doesn’t discriminate between a millionaire and a pauper. It knows nothing about poisonous human constructs that unfairly divide people, shower or deny comforts depending on accidents of birth. Nature reflects life as it should be for all living creatures. Including us. Humans.
